Typical monument styles include:
Flush style monuments /Flat markers – Monuments placed flush with the ground.
Bevel monuments –Monuments that are slightly high above the ground.
Slant style monuments – These monuments are typically 16 or so inches high and stand above the ground with the back of the stone straight vertical, and the front sloping at about a 45 degree angle.
Upright monuments – A two piece of memorial consisting of the monument and a base that it is attached to.
Ledgers – These memorials are flat on the ground, they cover the entire grave.
