Q. How long after a burial can a headstone be erected?

Answer:

There is no time limit or protocol for the headstone to be erected. It depends on the cemetery the family has chosen. Many lawn cemeteries allow the headstone to be erected immediately after burial. However, it is always better not to cement the grave until the ground settles. It is recommended to wait for at least 4 -8 months depending on the location.
