HISTORY OF POLCHINSKI MEMORIALS
Our company was founded in 1883 by Joseph Polchinski, Sr, located in Hawthorne, in Westchester. Once they were old enough he shared the business responsibilities with his two sons, Arthur and Edward, and together they spent all of their time in the monument and mausoleum business. The sons worked diligently in their business for many years. Michael A. Ciaramella, a trained designer and draftsman, began working in the monument industry in 1956 and came to work at Joseph Polchinski Co., Inc. The untimely death in 1964 of Edward B. Polchinski forced a reorganization of the corporate structure. Michael A. Ciaramella, a salesman with the company at that time, was made a Director and given the title of Executive Vice President

THE POLCHINSKI FAMILY PLOT
His son, Michael K., came to work for him in 1973, thus allowing them to follow in the footsteps established by the Polchinski family, where they continued the heralded reputation the Polchinski family began of offering uncompromising service and the highest quality and standards the industry would allow. Michael K. Ciaramella continues today, as in the past, leading Polchinski Memorials, Inc. to continue to help families honor the lives of their family. With our Hawthorne location in Central Westchester County and strong affiliation with our community, we have been privileged to design and build monuments and mausoleums in the Cemetery of the Gate of Heaven, Kensico Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Calvary, Sharon Gardens as well as many of the cemeteries in the tri-state area.
In this website, we have presented a small portfolio of our work erected in these cemeteries. It is our sincere hope that this website will be of help to you in the process of selecting a monument or mausoleum, or simply provide a venue to engrave an existing memorial. We hope you will call upon us and eventually you, too, will become one of our satisfied families who are comforted by our professionalism and expertise.
